Elyse's Angel Story, a true Story: I have an angel story to share: In February of 1988 I had a dream about an angel I recognized and called "Gabriel" in my dream. Immediately, Gabriel sent a stream of light, like a bolt, in my direction. I sat up in bed, awake, feeling a strong and wonderful tingling sensation throughout my body. After a few moments, I lay my head down to go back to sleep, and the minute my head hit the pillow, I was back in the same place in my dream, but the angel had gone. In times of difficulty, I remember that dream, and now, years later, I see it as an important even in my life. In fact, a year after the incident itself, I was singing at a Jewish Community Center and a 90 year old man came up to me and said, "You know, there is a legend about the Angel Gabriel that says he touches/kisses the lips of those who are born to sing." When praying to God to help people in the world, I now remember to ask Gabriel for his blessing. After a couple of days praying during the Katrina disaster, I heard a TV news announcer say: "And the little girl Gabriella was united with her parents..." I keep thinking I was meant to hear that. To read more about angels, surf on over to my friend Ethel Pontsler's website, www.angelady.net In the wake of Rita's onslaught upon the Gulf Coast, my prayers and best wishes go out to all who must evacuate, including my cousins Kerrie and Lee Hendricks in Baytown, Texas.
